Concordia College

Sport is seen as an integral part of Concordia’s education process and all students in Years 7 to 11 are encouraged to be involved in at least one activity per year and encouraged to be involved in at least one per semester.

Concordia offers many sports as part of the extra-curricular program. Concordia’s approach to sporting competition is designed to enhance the school life of students and give them a more complete education. It has an important role to play in shaping memories and friendships, discovery of common interests with others, developing organisational skills, offering leadership opportunities and providing insight to the obligations which come with making a commitment.

There are indeed life skills to be gained through extra-curricular sport involvement, especially when it involves being part of a group or team, which cannot be fully developed in the classroom.
